Coastguard – can be called on VHF channel 16 – As the official authority for managing maritime laws, the Coastguard is mandated to manage movement on the water at all times.
Renewing Cruising Permits in Grenada– Cruising permits can be renewed at Customs and Immigration office at C&N Port Louis Marina on the designated shopping days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am – 4pm). Please call ahead.
Renewing Cruising Permits in Carriacou – Cruising permits can be renewed at Customs and Immigration office at Carriacou Marine. Please call ahead to confirm time of operation on 473-443-6100.
Renewing Immigration Stamp – The Immigration Departments (Botanical Gardens in Grenada or Immigration Department in Carriacou) are open on the shopping days for renewal of the immigration stamp.
In Grenada please call for an appointment on: 474-440-2456. You will need to go to the Botanical Gardens to get the renewal slip, then you will need to go to the Treasury (Financial Complex open 8am-2pm on shopping days) on the far end of The Carenage to pay (there is a dinghy tie up point nearby) to make payment and then back to the Botanical Gardens office to get the stamp.
In Carriacou renewals are processed at the Customs and Immigration office in Hillsborough, and payment is at the Treasury in the government building across the street from the police station. An appointment is not necessary in Carriacou.
Clearing into Grenada or Carriacou – All ports of entry are currently closed to yachts and other pleasure vessels.
Clearing out of Grenada – Customs and Immigration office is open at C&N Port Louis Marina for clearing out of Grenada on the designated shopping days from 8am – 4pm. Please call ahead. You can only clear out if you are going to a country of which you are a national or to the home port of the yacht.
Clearing out of Carriacou – Customs and Immigration office is at Carriacou Marine for clearing out of Carriacou. Please call ahead on 473-443-6100. You can only clear out if you are going to a country of which you are a national or to the home port of the yacht.
Moving Bays in Grenada or Carriacou – Please call the coastguard and inform them that you will be moving bays.
Moving between Grenada and Carriacou – Yachts are NOT allowed to sail between islands as the country is still under the curfew and restriction of movement. In the same way people living on land are restricted in their movements, yachts are also.
Emptying Holding Tanks – In accordance with Grenada (including Carriacou and Petite Martinique) environmental and marine legislation, holding tanks should be emptied 3 miles out at sea. Please inform the coastguard prior to doing this.
Exercise is not permitted during the latest regulations.
Beaches are closed while under curfew.
Wearing of Masks – This is now mandatory when leaving your property. Homemade masks are acceptable, but your nose and mouth must be covered.
Fuel – Is for sale on the shopping days at Secret Harbour Marina (473-444-4449), Grenada Yacht Club (473-440-6826) and Prickly Bay Marina (473- Please call ahead to check on opening hours and call the Coastguard to seek permission to move if at anchor.
Ships spares – The port and airport are still open for receiving cargo. Speak to your agent or broker for more information on this.
E-Zone (https://www.getezone.com/) and Swiftpac (https://swiftpac.com/) can receive packages in their depots in USA, and can process and clear these packages in Grenada.
Chandleries – Please check the websites or facebook pages of the chandlery businesses in Grenada for their hours of operation or special arrangements in place
