About The Marine and Yachting Association of Grenada
A few visionary members of the marine sector established Marine and Yachting Association of Grenada (MAYAG) in 1999, as the yachting industry entered a new era of growth and development. With the support of the Government of Grenada, the sector continued to build consistently and over the past few years has seen remarkable growth and achievements. Financial assistance from CDE (Centre for the Development of Enterprise) enabled MAYAG to develop strategies and plans in key areas such as marketing, training and international cooperation. These plans are now being implemented.
MAYAG is essentially a Trade Association. The Board of Directors are volunteers who give up their time to work on behalf of the whole industry to ensure further growth and prosperity. We work in areas such as: lobbying Government for continued support and to ensure that policies and decisions take MAYAG needs into account; contributing to strategy development; coordinating on cross-cutting issues such as training and marketing, working closely with the Grenada Tourism Authority.
We recognise our sector’s social responsibility with respect to our 1,000 Grenadian employees, and we are proud of the economic impact we are making in Grenada. You our clients, provide the basis for the impact our members make, and we thank you most sincerely.
